Proverbs 23:18: “For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.”
Isaiah 43:18-19: “18 Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. 19 Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert.”
Helping Other People to Endure (HOPE)
HOPE is helping other people to endure in the time of need. You can join MOM by feeding the hungered, supplying clothes to those that are in need, visiting the sick and those in prison. Your gifts can help those, although you are not able make these in person. When you are helping others to endure in any way, you are fulfilling the will of God. (Acts 20:35) (Matthew 25:33-46). Scripture References: Acts 20:35 (ESV): In all things I have shown you that by working hard in this way we must help the weak and remember the words of the Lord Jesus, how he himself said, It is more blessed to give than to receive. Just as in the USA, most family members has gotten caught up on making careers, working, thus, we are not able to take care of the elderly and handicap like we should. In this facility, most of the people have been place here by either by family member or they did not have nowhere else to go. It is very important that we "Remember the Forgotten". We show them love and remind them that they are not forgotten by serving Christmas dinner and giving out Christmas presents to the clients at this facility. Remembering the Forgotten in Falmont, Jamaica
We are fortunate in different ways. Some may have shelter, while others are homeless. Some of us are able to buy the latest fashions, while others have no choice but to wear hand-me-downs. MOM is fortunate enough to offer a relationship of family and friends, created between strangers. Given our ability to bring a family-like atmosphere to those who have been forgotten, we are able to bring light to a seemingly dim situation. Many of the clients at Falmont only have the facility staff as their family. The warm, full-course meals gives them a sense of physical warmth. However, it is the smiles on the clients’ faces from simple visitations, listening sessions and laughs that make this such a rewarding experience. It is not always about the material gifts that bring hope to people. We are here to serve. Luke 6:38 (KJV) says, “Give, and it shall be given unto you...For with the same measure that ye mete withal it shall be measured to you again.” As we sow into other people lives, we will receive a harvest. MOM is demonstrating the love of God by serving Christmas Dinner to the clients living at the Falmont Assistance Living Facility (23 women/33 men). By remembering the forgotten in Falmont, Jamaica, please help MOM give Christmas gifts to the clients at this facility. MOM’s Wish List (to go into small Love bags):
